Created across Britain, Europe and beyond, each Basten Gallery work begins with time spent in the landscape. We follow changing light, weather and seasons, creating photographs shaped by atmosphere, patience and place.
Our approach is slow and intentional: returning to locations, observing conditions and waiting for moments of clarity before each image is refined as a limited-edition print.

Valensole is often photographed for its scale and spectacle, but this morning felt quieter. Late in the season, the fields were still standing, uninterrupted and empty.
Built on repetition and restraint, Aurora Bliss draws the eye through soft rows of lavender toward a single tree on the horizon. The result is a measured, atmospheric study of colour, stillness and place.
